A complete tour of the mystical land of Leh Ladakh. A home to the world’s highest passes and turquoise blue lakes caressed with some of nature’s weirdest compositions of sand dunes, double humped camels, and optical illusions, all this at a height of 4000 mt from the sea.

This Tour starts from Leh with a visit to the Sham Valley and magnetic hill further taking you to the colorful confluence of Zanskar and Indus rivers. Visit some of the most popular attractions of Leh like the Hall of Fame and Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, before you head to experience the nature’s extravagant creation – The Pangong Lake. A brackish (Salt Water) lake 4000 mt above the sea, 120 km in length and 7 km broad. Spend your night at our camp gazing the clear skies with millions of stars feeling so close. On day 4 say good bye to the blue waters of Pangong lake to visit the richest monasteries of Leh at Hemis and shop for memoirs in the Leh market.

And the mystical visit doesn’t end here. Head on to the Nubra valley via Khardung la, the highest motorable in the world at 18360ft. Experience the sand dunes of Nubra Valley and the Bactrian Double humped Camels at Hunder. Enjoy your time with Camel rides and ATV drives before you head to the famous Diskit Monastery while driving along the Shyok river back to Leh. On the seventh day while we wish you to come back soon, take with you lots of beautiful memories to cherish and stories to tell.

  1. Day1 Arrive - Leh, Shanti Stupa & Market

    On arrival at Kushok Bakula airport in Leh (situated at a height of 3,500 meters), you will be transferred to your hotel (2-3 kilometers from airport). This is one of the most sensational flights in the world. During the day, acclimatize yourself with the weather and high pressure of Ladakh.
    After noon visit to Shanti Stupa
    Shanti Stupa is situated on a hilltop in Chanspa.. It was built in 1991 by Japanese Buddhist Bhikshu Gyomyo Nakamura. Shanti stupa has provides beautiful and panoramic view of the surrounding landscape and has become a primary reason for to become a popular tourist attraction. It was built to promote world peace and a symbol of the ties between the people of Japan and Ladakh. The stupa is open for tourists between 5:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. Sunrise and sunset are considered to provide the best views from Shanti Stupa.

  2. Day2 Leh - Local Sightseeing - Leh

    After breakfast at hotel proceed for Local Sightseeing which includes Hall of fame, Gurudwara Pather Sahib, Magnetic Hills, Sangam & Stok Palace.
    Hall of Fame: The Hall of Fame, located near the Leh Air field, is a museum constructed as well as maintained by the Indian Army in the memory of the soldiers who had lost their lives during the Indo-Pak wars.
    Gurudwara Pathar Sahib: is a beautiful Gurudwara sahib constructed in the memory of Guru Nanak, The Gurdwara was built in 1517 to commemorate the visit to the Ladakh region of Guru Nanak Dev, the founder Guru of the Sikh faith.
    Magnetic Point: is a gravity hill located on Srinagar – Leh National highway. The hill is alleged to have magnetic properties strong enough to pull cars uphill and force passing aircraft to increase their altitude in order to escape magnetic interference; in reality, the effect is an optical illusion created by the gravity hill.
    Sangam : is the confluence of the rivers Indus and Zanskar. Just the view of Sangam Valley from the road above it can make you swoon in ecstasy. The colours of the two rivers can be distinctly seen at the confluence. It is an amazing place to sit, relax, and enjoy a picnic with family and friends.
    Stok Palace Museum: Stock Palace (14kms – South east of Leh): Where the present day royal family resides. Stok Palace and museum was built in the year 1825, by King Tespal Tondup Namgyal. At present the place has a collection of royal dresses and crown etc. which is open for travelers.

  3. Day3 Leh - Nubra Valley via Khardungla Pass (Diskit & Hunder)

    After an early breakfast drive to Nubra Valley via Khardungla Pass which is situated at a height of 18360 ft and is considered as the highest motorable pass of the world. Once you arrive at Khalsar drive on the left towards Diskit & Hunder Village. Check in at your camp/Hotel.
    Visit Hunder Village and sightseeing of Sand Dundes. Hunder is a small village where the Shyok River meets Nubra River. Hunder lies on the ancient silk rout. Hunder is most popular for the camel rides. Enjoy Camel Safari (OPTIONAL) on the shabby double-humped Bactrian camels, which in olden days were the main mode of transport on the Ladakh-Yarkhand (Turkmanistan) trade. The Safari goes along the soft white sandy deserts with rolling sand dunes Stay overnight at the Camp.

  4. Day4 Nubra Valley - Leh

    After early breakfast drive to Leh enroute Sightseeing of Diskit monastry and Statue of Mytriya Buddha.
    Diskit Monastery is the major attraction in the Nubra Valley and is the oldest and largest in the region. Close to the Monastry lies an impressive statue of Jampa Buddha. This Statue has become one of the prime attractions for tourists and is deeply appreciated for its architecture. Facing the Shyok river, the statue sits tall with a height of 32 meters and was constructed with the help of the natives of the valley.
    Continue drive to Leh Via Khardungla Pass.

  5. Day 5 Leh - Pangong Lake Enroute Shey & Thiksey

    After breakfast drive to Pangong Lake. On the way visit to 3 Idiots School, Shey Palace & Thiksey.
    3 Idiots School: The school was featured in a 2007 episode as the Aamir Khan movie 3 Idiots.
    Shey Palace, the erstwhile royal residence of the Ladakh monarchs, is the main attraction of Shey. The palace was built by King Deldan Namgyal in 1655 AD. Namgyal also made Shey his summer capital. It offers views of a vast expanse of the surrounding valleys
    Thiksey: Spectacularly sighted, Thiksey is one of the largest and architecturally most impressive gompa. There are several temples in this gompa, containing images stupas and wall painting of Buddhas which are exquisite.
    Continue drive to Pangong Lake Changla Pass (17,586 feet) third highest pass of the world and drive through Durbuk and Tangtse village situated in the Changthang region of Ladakh. Pangong Lake is salt water body of 120 km in length and 6 – 7 Km broad at the longest point. It is bisected by the international border between India & China (2/3 of the lake is in China’s possession). Visit the exact location of the famous movie “Three idiots” & enjoy outing along the banks of the lake. One really feels very close to nature at Pangong Lake with its scenic surroundings. On a clear sunny day, you can see seven colour formations in the crystal clear salt water lake. All together it covers 604 km2. During winter the lake freezes completely, despite being saline water. Its reported there are no fish or other aquatic life in the lake. On the other hand you will see numerous ducks and gulls over and on the lake surface.

  6. Day 6 Pangong Lake – Tsomoriri via via Chushul, Chagga La

    After early breakfast drive to Tsomoriri Lake which is around 235 Kms via Chushul Route. From Spangmik, drive on right next to the lake. It is an awesome and a very scenic drive. Cross the village of Man and continue towards Merak. Continue towards Khaltse and from there to Chushul. At Chushul, you can take a quick break and visit the Chushul War Memorial, dedicated to the heroes who lost their lives in battle with China. From Chushul, head towards the high altitude pass of Tsaga La, also known as Chagga La. Today will cross 3 high altitude passes.
    Tsomoriri Lake is located in an altitude of 4200 meter. The lake is famous worldwide for its picturesque beauty. While proceeding towards Tsomoriri Lake, visit the Chumathang Hot Springs and cross the Mahe Bridge. If you are lucky you can also see Himalayan marmots on the way. By late noon reach Tsomoriri Lake; upon arrival, check in at the tented camp near the lake. Later, visit the lake shores which is famous as a designated Ramsar wetland sanctuaries. It is a popular breeding and nestling area for thousands of migratory birds that include Brahimini Duck, Bar Headed Goose, Black Naked Cranes etc.

  7. Day 7 Tsomoriri – Tsokar - Taglangla-Leh

    After a refreshing morning breakfast, drive to Leh via Tsokar Lake route. On the way, visit the Puga Geo-thermal Gas Springs and Nomadic Rebo tents at Polo- Kongka Pass. After crossing the pass, stop by Tsokar Lake for a photo stop. If you wish to, you can also visit the monastery of tiny Thukje village. Upon reaching Manali highway, cross the Tanglangla Pass which is located in an altitude of 5350 meter. By the evening check in at hotel.
    Stay overnight at the hotel.

  8. Day 8 Leh - Departure

    After breakfast in morning, you’ll be transferred to Kushok Bakula airport to catch flight for onward destination with sweet holiday memories.

On this Tour, breakfast and dinner are included on all days as specified in the Whats Included section. The menu for Breakfast and Dinner is regular Indian Cuisine in veg and addition of a local specialty on select days. We also add a Non-veg Dish to the menu on one of the days depending on availability.

The vehicle used on Tour depends on the number of Persons traveling together and also on availability. Generally we use Tata Indigo, Honda Amaze or Swift Desire for groups of 4 persons traveling together. For bigger groups, Scorpio/ Innova/Traveller are used according to the seating capacity.
