You can plan a trip to Assam all the year long, but the Best time to visit Assam is during the months of winters and summers, i.e.: October to March.

Winter Season (Oct – March)

Winters is the best time to plan a holiday in Assam are chilling but enlivening. The area gets foggy and light rain showers around. Lowest temperature in winters is about 6 degrees Celsius. This is a best season to visit Assam.

Summer Season (Mar- June)

Assam is refreshing in the summer season; the weather doesn’t get too hot. Summer stays on for a shorter time span (March- June). The maximum temperature reaches about 37 degrees Celsius. Whenever it becomes too hot, rain showers come to the rescue. This is a perfect time to explore Assam and visit its attractions like Kaziranga National Park, Jatinga, Jorhat, Sivasagar, Majuli, Guwahati, Haflong, Tinsukia, Dibrugarh and others.

Monsoon Season (Jun–Aug)

Assam receives abundant rainfall in the monsoon months. The monsoon season starts off with the month of June and lasts till September. Try to avoid visiting Assam in this season, as heavy showers often result in landslides. The nature bllooms in this season in Shillong with greenery, wild flowers and waterfalls.

Depends on the time of the year and slightly on the place as well.  You can wear Western/ Indian clothing as per your likes. In Temples and Monastires  revealing clothing would be frowned upon.  A compact umbrella or rain jacket is useful any time of the year.

Children aged under five are exempt from Tour charges and five-to-12-year-olds get a discount, so it needn’t break the bank if you bring kids along. Kids may become bored with long, monotonous drives, limited availability of TV and the internet, and little other entertainment available. On the other hand, they will be immediately accepted by local kids and their families, and they could make many new friends.

Based on the timeof your Booking, you have to pay 10% – 25% of your Total Trip amount to process the reservation. The balance amount can be paid 15 days prior to the Departure date.
